Network Configuration
Cyfin Proxy Server is easy to evaluate, administer and use.
- Install it on any Windows PC.
- Enter a few simple settings.
- Point your users' browsers to Cyfin Proxy.
Now it's ready to monitor Web activity and produce clear, categorized reports.
NOTE: Cyfin Proxy can also be used in a "chain" configuration as illustrated below.
Array Configuration
Install Cyfin Proxy on multiple servers and manage settings from the designated primary console. This makes for easy administration when managing different locations or a large number of employees.
- Install Cyfin Proxy on each server.
- Designate one server as your primary.
- Go to the primary's console and enter your settings. These settings will also be applied to your secondary server(s).
- Point your users' browsers to one of the primary or secondary Cyfin Proxy installs.
Now Cyfin is ready to monitor user Web activity and generate clear, categorized reports. For more information, check the Cyfin Proxy product manual.

Supported Operating Systems
NOTE: For evaluation purposes, a Windows XP Professional, Vista Business Edition or Windows 7 workstation may suffice if you intend to test with less than ten users. Windows XP Professional, Vista Business Edition, or Windows 7 workstations will not allow more than ten concurrent connections. This is a limitation of Microsoft, not Wavecrest Computing products.
Administrative Interface Requirements
- Supported Browsers: The Cyfin Proxy interface is fully tested in Internet Explorer 8.0. However, this does not exclude other browsers from being fully functional with our interface, i.e., Internet Explorer Versions 7.0 or higher, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera.
